Hi, I am Mary Rettig, a blogger. I do mostly free writing or brain dumping style journaling. I have a love /hate relationship with writing. I usually write short posts. I love creative writing, but I often have writer’s block. Journaling helps my writer’s block,
I was very idealistic in my teens and twenties.I wanted to be a great nursery school teacher. I went to community college, majoring in Early Childhood education. I worked in daycare, mostly with preschoolers, though my gift was with infants and toddlers.
These daycare jobs were very stressful, but I wasn’t very good at working with preschoolers.I had many false starts, wanting to work with elders, but I was unable to leave daycare because of my fear of the unknown.
I spent about 15 years as a teacher of young children, but finally left my career because of health problems and returned to college, majoring in psychology.
Then I decided to looked into coaching. 6 years ago, I finished a coaching program but found I did not enjoy it very much. After many false starts, I decided blogging and offering my own products was my dream business. I decided to teach and support journalers because that is a big passion for me, focusing on self-acceptance and stress management through journaling.
My mission in life is to work part time as a blogger and help women find stress relief and manage their stress.
I like working from home. I start each morning spending time with God, reading the Bible, and journaling. This has made a world of difference in my day. I work a few hours a day. The blogging business fits right into my life style.
